Vietnam Airlines flight 474: "I thought, there is no way — no way — I will eat you," - Plane crash survivor, Herfkins.

 In this post, the 1992 sole survivor of Vietnam Airlines flight 474, Annette Herfkens narrated how she sustained herself with rainwater for eight days after she survived the plane crash.


The 1992 Vietnam plane crash survivor, Annette Herfkins, has given an explicit detail of how she cheated death twice in her survival story.

Herfkins is a lone survivor of the Vietnam Airlines Flight 474 which crashed after it hits a mountain top.

The domestic scheduled flight was from Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport to Nha Trang Airport.

Herfkins survived the plane crash which left about 30 others dead and also defied death by surviving eight days with multiple injuries in the jungle alone sustaining herself with rainwater before she was found by the rescue team.

What was to be a romantic getaway for Herfkins and her fiancé, who died in the crash, turned out to be a disaster.

In one of her interviews with newsmen, Herfkins said,  "I thought, there is no way — no way — I will eat you," while remembering the horror story of the Andes crash survivors.

Annette Herfkens was the sole survivor of a plane crash. Her fiancé died beside her.
